Glacier Artisan Soap from Saltwater Happy Tutorial

Presenting the Glacier Artisan Soap, a cherished creation inspired by the majestic allure of icebergs. Crafted with precision and a passion for skin care, this soap promises a unique blend of aesthetics and nourishment.

  • Melt and pour glycerin soap base (available from reputable suppliers such as New Directions)
  • Shea Butter
  • Coconut Butter
  • Sweet Almond Oil
  • Fresh-scented fragrance oil
  • Blue and aqua Lab colors
  • Iceberg Vodka
  • Two pounds of white soap base
  • Two pounds of clear soap base
  • Rubbing alcohol (in a spray bottle)

  1. Begin by acquiring a quality melt and pour glycerin soap base, preferably from esteemed suppliers like New Directions, known for their exceptional products and efficient service. Additionally, gather Shea Butter, Coconut Butter, Sweet Almond Oil, a fragrance of your choice, and Blue and Aqua Lab colors. Incorporate a distinctive touch with a dash of Iceberg Vodka. You will require two pounds each of white and clear soap base.
  2. Employ a double boiler or a dedicated soap melting pot to ensure a smooth and efficient process. Swiftly cut the soap base into manageable chunks, considering the fast-paced nature of this soap-making endeavor.
  3. Melt the clear soap base first, avoiding boiling, and stir thoroughly. Once melted, add 1 ounce of Shea Butter, 0.5 ounces of Coconut Butter, 2 teaspoons of Sweet Almond Oil, and 3 teaspoons of Iceberg Vodka. Blend this mixture with 3 squirts of fragrance oil, 1 squirt of blue Lab color, and 1 squirt of aqua Lab color. Pour the resulting vibrant sea-blue clear soap into a suitable mold.
  4. Concurrently, as the white soap base is melting, prepare the ingredients for the next batch. Upon melting the white soap, swiftly combine the ingredients, ensuring a cohesive blend. Spritz the already poured clear soap with rubbing alcohol to facilitate adherence.
  5. Now, pour the white soap into the blue soap with precision and vigor to achieve the captivating layered effect reminiscent of icebergs. Execute this step decisively, aiming for corners and employing a technique akin to the finesse required at Hogwarts. Repeat this process for a few more cups, creating a soap masterpiece with a distinctive appearance.
  6. Enhance the soap’s structure with additional spritzes of rubbing alcohol and allow it to firm up. Once firm, demold the soap and cut it into desired sizes. The Glacier Artisan Soap, enriched with shea butter, coconut butter, sweet almond oil, and the invigorating touch of Iceberg Vodka, stands as a testament to meticulous craftsmanship and skin-loving indulgence.
